JOB SUMMARY: The Special Education Teacher is responsible for providing academic instruction to assigned patients in a structured classroom environment designed to promote intellectual, emotional, and social growth. He/She will develop teaching plans that are appropriate to the ages and populations served, specifically children and adolescents (ages 5-21) with emotional, developmental, and/or behavioral problems.
Bachelor's degree in education with SPED certification.
Experience working with individuals with autism/IDD is preferred but not required.
Experience with Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support strategies required.
