The Product Marketing Manager Position 

Sunnova Energy is searching for a Product Marketing Manager to be responsible for the outbound marketing activities, crafting product messaging and positioning, and working across the business to drive marketing efforts in support of the launch for Sunnova’s new products and services solar portfolio.  Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial. You will participate in one of the fastest growing and most transformational industries for this generation, driving adoption of solar in existing and new markets. Your vision will contribute to the evolution of the company and the category.

Product Marketing Manager Responsibilities 

  • Works closely with product development team to develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our solar service plans in the market 
  • Creates collateral to be used for a variety of audiences and target segments highlighting product strengths, features and benefits 
  • Works closely with the brand management team and web team in the development and implementation of product content and collateral materials 
  • Communicates the value proposition of our solar service plans to the sales team and develops the sales tools that support the selling process of our solution 
  • Develops a marketing program to support the launch of new solar service plans; releases and manages the cross functional implementation of the plan 
  • Assesses the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support the solar portfolio on an ongoing basis, and reports back to the business on suggested enhancements 
  • Manages documents and content for all solar marketing materials.  

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 10 - 15+ years’ related experience
  • 8 - 10+ years’ manager experience with multiple reports
  • 5 - 6+ years’ senior manager experience with multiple reports
  • Public company experience
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in an energy market
  • 5 years in product marketing
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Proven history of creating effective marketing programs.
  • Excellent time management and project prioritization skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in energy 
  • Bilingual – English and Spanish
