**EY Government and Public Sector ("GPS") is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable / Deltek Expense Senior Associate** . This role will report to the GPS Expense and Accounts Payable Lead - Assistant Director
In this role, you'll be responsible for day-to-day operations of GPS accounts payable and expense audits, and ensuring adherence to policies, applicable law and regulations, procedures, and internal controls.
**Accounts Payable / Deltek Expense responsibilities:**
+ Review accounts payable vouchers and expense reports for accuracy and compliance with internal policies and FAR Part 31, DFARS and CAS and post them to the general ledger
+ Review and post cash disbursements
+ Ensure all AP entries are properly supported with backup documentation
+ Train and coach staff on system usage as well as policies and procedures
+ Serve as SME for Deltek Expense and Costpoint Workflow for expense reports
+ Educate and train Accounts Payable and Expense Associates on systems, policies and procedures and external regulations
+ Maintain vendor master records
+ Respond to vendor inquiries
+ Approve weekly check runs, ACH and wire transfers
+ Maintain subledgers and ensure they tie out to the general ledger
+ Develop and maintain Accounts Payable and Expense procedure guides and Expense training manual
+ Assist in configuration and testing of Accounts Payable and Expense domains in Costpoint 8.1 and future versions of Costpoint implemented by EY
+ Monitor Accounts Payable Workflow
+ Interface with other GPS enablement teams as necessary including Contracts Management, Subcontracts Management, Purchasing, Finance and Compliance
+ Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
+ Prepare annual IRS 1099 forms
+ Prepare subcontractor and vendor accruals for month-end close
+ Ensure sales and use tax is accounted for when applicable
+ Prepare reconciliations of accrued costs to the general ledger
+ Ensure AP vouchers and expense reports have proper projects, accounts, and organizations combinations in accordance with GPS financial architecture
**Skills and attributes for success**
+ Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with individuals inside and outside of EY
+ Ability to work with a diverse and geographically distributed team
**To qualify for the role, you must have**
+ A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
+ Approximately 3 + years of relevant accounting / finance experience in a government contracting environment, to INCLUDE government Accounts Payable experience
+ The ability to obtain a security clearance, if needed

**Ideally you will also have:**
+ Experience in government contracting Expense audits
+ Experience using Deltek Costpoint
+ Experience in participating in system design sessions around accounts payable
