Description

  • Sourcing
    • Uncover investment opportunities through both marketed and off-market channels.
    • Develop and manage capital and broker relationships to generate deal flow, new investor relationships, and capture market intelligence.
    • Establish pricing and returns expectations with partner and investor feedback to align investment objectives with deal flow targets.
  • Evaluating
    • Efficiently evaluate, underwrite, and recommend investment opportunities that meet strategic platform, investor, and financial criteria.
    • Conceptualize and judge levels of investment risk that rationally inform pricing and return metrics.
    • Research market and industry data/trends to contribute to an investment thesis with regard to what factors constitute an attractive and profitable opportunity.
  • Packaging
    • Oversee the production of deal related collateral, including investment packages, private offering memorandums, subscription documents, and partnership agreements.
    • Work with investors, partners, and lenders to produce and deliver deal information, including ad hoc analyses, in support of transaction goals.
    • Distribute and present fully packaged deals to investors with expert level deal and market knowledge
  • Transacting
    • Lead and own transaction process from initial offer through closing of the deal.
    • Negotiate acquisitions with a focus on mitigating risk, satisfying stakeholders, and overcoming obstacles.
    • Manage due diligence process, shepherding deal through hurdles and coordinating stakeholders to ensure seamless transaction.
  • Leading and Team Building
    • Exhibit leadership in partnering with internal teams and developing junior team members, including brokerage and asset management.
    • Proactively seek to expand the investment division's impact across the firm, including contributing to business development and other important internal initiatives.
    • Strive to gain the confidence of senior leadership team and contribute to management initiatives including firm-level strategic planning.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree with evidence of a strong background in finance, business, economics, and preferably real estate.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7+ years of real estate related experience in acquisitions, investment sales, asset management or real estate private equity.
  • Proficiency with ARGUS, CRM platforms, and advanced Excel software knowledge.
  • Exceptional relationship building and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and finance skills with a detail orientation.
  • Polished verbal and written communication skills, including advanced understanding of the principles and process of negotiation.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and evaluate complex contracts and other legal documents.
  • Highly developed project management skills paired with a strong sense of urgency and an ability to execute projects independently.
  • Experience with building and leading teams in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to make well-reasoned, defensible decisions based on a mixture of analysis, knowledge, experience, and judgment.
