Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Director, Information Technology Operations

• Oversee service desk, engineering, network, procurement, and security teams
• Help define, implement and revise IT operational policies and guidelines
• Provide technology guidance, road maps, principles, standards, and best practices
• Guide business and IT team in making investment decisions that balance and prioritize current operational demands, disruptions, and opportunities with the longer-term strategic vision of the organization
• Oversee negotiation and administration of vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements

Requirements for the Director, Information Technology Operations

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• 8-10 years experience in IT Operations
• Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and professional language
• Strong understanding of ITIL and DevOps and ability to leverage both tool sets to improve processes
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure strategic planning and development, project management, and/or policy development
