  • We need a talented Database Engineer to join our engineering team in moving our technology and data solutions to the next level. Help us build a modern data platform in Hadoop & SQL Server, while using the latest technologies, and expanding your skillset. We are investing resources into setting up a more flexible and scalable data infrastructure to support the addition of new data sets and improve overall data quality and processing speed. An ideal candidate will be excited to be in a smaller company that moves quickly on a constant flow of ideas, be able to wear multiple hats as needed, and have the drive to exceed expectations.



  • Design and build robust, high-performance, and adaptable database schemas.
  • Develop, optimize, and tune stored procedures, SQL scripts, and indexes.
  • Develop and maintain data ETL and batch records-matching processes, including supporting documentation.
  • Take initiative to learn about and experiment with new technologies (Hadoop, NoSQL, etc.).
  • Proactively recommend best practices, optimizations, and process improvements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to resolve problems in a professional manner, lead working groups, and negotiate consensus.



  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Expert knowledge in advanced SQL (T-SQL or PL/SQL).
  • Experience with MS SQL Server 2008+.
  • Experience automating data load processes from a variety of sources.
  • Experience with data modeling, partitioning, indexing, and architectural database design.
  • Experience working in extremely large databases.
  • Strong knowledge of database standards, technologies, and solutions.
  • Experience with Hadoop, Cloud Computing, or NoSQL technologies a huge plus.
  • Experience with Search Engines, Name/Address Matching, or Linux text processing a plus.
  • General programming knowledge (ASP.NET/C#, etc.) a plus.
