Continuing Medical Education (CME) Coordinator
Since 1976, The Woman’s Hospital of Texas has been the state’s premier facility dedicated to the health and well-being of women, newborns and children. The hospital’s 397 beds offers expertise and outstanding care in breast health, imaging, gynecology, obstetrics, high-risk pregnancy, neonatology, minimally-invasive surgery and pediatric care.
The Woman’s Hospital of Texas is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare, part of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. The division is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17 hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency centers, and a regional transfer center.
What you will do in this role: .
Meets with planning committee, physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate and oversee faculty arrangements.
Ensures compliance with accreditation standards including program approval process.
Manages educational programs to meet established timelines and program content expectations.
Coordinates meeting logistics, other arrangements, marketing, planning and implementation.
Assists in identifying CME topics that tie to The Woman’s Hospital of Texas, HCA Medical Center, and HCA Houston West strategic plan.
Assists in creating CME protocol and procedures
Execute assigned CME activities in accordance with The Woman’s Hospital of Texas, HCA Houston Medical Center, and HCA Houston West policies and Business Practices, and ACCME guidelines and policies.
Provides on-site support for CME programs including attendance, distribution and collection of materials and audiovisual support.
Maintains accurate and complete documentation of programs including attendance database.
Interfaces with industry representatives when applicable to arrange for grants and or exhibits.
Provides coverage for Medical Library operations as needed, including, but not limited to circulation desk.
Develops program budgets and reports.
Builds and maintains relationships with medical/executive leadership
Performs other related job duties as assigned.
What qualifications you will need:
Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited University.
• Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
1 plus years of experience in Microsoft Office Professional Suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
