Description

Company is seeking a VP to join its Corporate Finance team. The Corporate Finance team is responsible for management of the Company’s capital structure, near- and long-term business forecast and investor relations program. As a leader on the team, the VP will have broad exposure to many of Company’s financial and strategic initiatives. The VP should enjoy working in a fast-paced, strategic role that provides opportunities to interact with various stakeholders internally and externally include the Company’s executive leadership team, investors, research analysts and rating agencies.

Essential Job Functions (or Responsibilities)

  • Assist with our overall investor relations strategy from design to execution
  • Work with the VP of Corporate Finance to provide another point of contact for our investors (equity and debt), communicating our strategy and business performance
  • Responsible for preparing investor communications and disclosure deliverables, including during quarterly earnings
  • Actively contribute to developing narratives that investors will understand and find compelling
  • Assist with managing key relationships with credit rating agencies
  • Work with the VP of Corporate Finance to provide another point of contact for rating agencies, communicating our business and funding strategy
  •  Assist the CFO and VP of Corporate Finance with core treasury & capital markets functions

  • Executive presence, composed with a clear thought process and ability to communicate when faced with uncertainty in order to support sound decision making
  • Ability to logically evaluate and ultimately navigate complex, nuanced and ambiguous situations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written form
  • Excellent capital markets acumen and strong understanding of how equity and debt capital markets function
  • Ability to identify key tradeoffs and considerations when assessing capital structuring and capital raising strategies
  • Deep understanding of public equity markets, with a proven ability to apply that knowledge to construct communication strategies and narratives for investors that are clear and compelling
  • Ability to lead and provide clear vision and direction to inspire others to deliver outcomes
  • Experience in developing, teaching and mentoring a team
  • Ability to translate deep understanding of strategy into sound decision making that drives long term value creation
  • Shows a strong understanding of how capital allocation decisions impact long term shareholder value
  • Proven ability to develop broad networks and work across functions to deliver superior results

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or other business discipline
  • MBA or CFA designation preferred

Experience/Minimum Requirements

  • Ten+ (10) years experience in capital markets-oriented roles, including investor relations responsibilities – corporate or equity research (buy side or sell side)
  • Significant experience communicating and presenting to executive level leadership
  • Financial modeling and valuation analysis – investment banking, corporate or equity research (buy side or sell side)
  • Capital raising responsibility – investment banking, corporate, or investment management
