Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center is an 881-bed quaternary care academic medical center that is a joint venture between Baylor College of Medicine and CHI St. Luke's Health. Provides coordination of all aspects of the transplant service in order to maintain an organized and efficient program and ensure quality patient care.
Working as a RN Coordinator in our Lung Transplant Clinic offers a variety of clinical challenges to nurses choosing this clinical area.
Your care focuses on the medical, surgical and educational care of patients. You will interact with patients and their family as you advocate with multidisciplinary care teams.
- Plan and render pre and post-transplant care for the patient
- Organize donor/recipient status at time of transplant
- Develop and prepare educational materials, and provide teaching and education to patient and their family regarding Lung transplant and the care needed post-transplant
- 24 hour call responsibility on a rotating basis
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse
- Three (3) Years' Experience years of related work experience in ICU, Dialysis Unit and/or Transplant
