I. Job Summary
This position designs, deploys, configures and maintains systems management solutions used for monitoring, automation and IT service management. This position will utilize these tools to automate the execution of routine jobs, detect errors in infrastructure and applications, enable alerting, and generate notifications to ensure appropriate IT support staff are engaged when applications and services require intervention, and document and manage the incidents, changes and requests required to support and maintain infrastructure and applications.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned and may vary by location.
Architecture, design, installation, configuration and administration of software tools for systems management, workload automation and IT service management.
Interaction with other IT staff, designing and delivering solutions to meet customer needs.
Frequent interaction with production assurance, change management, platform support teams and application support teams.
Configuration and maintenance of Remedy applications and workflows.
Design, implementation and support of interfaces among the supported tools. Assist in design and implementation of service management processes as they relate to IT service management tools or the monitoring/systems management tools.
Integration of the tools and processes into external environments when appropriate.
Assist in diagnosis and resolution of incidents in the IT infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with all relevant audit and IT security requirements as they relate to monitoring/systems management or IT service management
Participation in project planning and execution.
III. Supervisory Responsibilities
Coach and mentor less experienced analysts and act as team leader on projects.

A. Education and Experience
Education : Bachelor’s Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience.
•BA in Management Information Systems (MIS) or Computer Science
•Team player, highly motivated, strong support skills
•Good communication skills (verbal and written)
•7-10 years in the Technology field
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
ITIL Foundations Certification-v3 preferred
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
Required Skills :
•Proficient in the administration of at least one the following Event Management tools : BigPanda, Moogsoft, HP BSM or HP OpsBridge – the preference is BigPanda.
•Proficient in the administration of one of the following Network Monitoring solutions : Entuity, SolarWinds, HP NNMi, NetScout, ExtraHop or ThousandEyes – the preference is Entuity
•Proficient in the administration of AppDynamics :
•Application Performance Management (APM)
•Real user monitoring (RUM)
•SAS synthetics and/or Private Agent synthetics
•Excellent system troubleshooting skills
•Additional Preferred Skills :
•Proficient in the administration of one of the following CMDB solutions :
•HP UCMDB, HP ServiceNow, Remedy Atrium CMDB
•Proficient in the administration of one of the following Notification Solutions :
•Xmatters, PagerDuty, Everbridge – the preference is Xmatters
•Experience with synthetic end user monitoring/scripting
•Experience with AWS, Azure and or Google Cloud
•Scripting experience (Perl, Python, Selenium Webdriver Python, VB, … )
•Experience / Knowledge working with REST API Integrations
