The Sr. Manager, Operations Planning & Analytics Position   

Sunnova Energy is currently searching for a Sr Manager, Operations Planning & Analytics to be responsible for enhancing the organization’s ability to meet objectives through the development of a robust operations planning and forecasting function to ensure cost and service targets are achieved. The Sr Manager, Operations Planning & Analytics will serve as the strategic forecasting representative collaborating with key stakeholders to develop forecasts for a variety of operations activities.

Sr. Manager, Operations Planning & Analytics Responsibilities

  • Manages a team of analysts to prepare models, analysis and forecasts of key activities and projects by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information 
  • Evolves the management reporting for key KPIs with and through stakeholders, peers, and direct reports to understand business performance and key risk/opportunities on P&L and Capital investments, and to drive improvement actions with peers
  • Conducts analyses and builds business cases to develop and evolve operating model and ideas for significantly improving operating performance and to deliver sustained business results
  • Prepares models to analyze and interpret historical trends 
  • Works with key stakeholders to establish quarterly & annual forecasts for volume and costs
  • Analyzes progress, identifies underlying causes of trends and drives improvement actions with and through others
  • Summarizes insights and implications in presentations or other communications to leadership 

FLSA Status:  Exempt 

Reports to:  Sr. Manager - Service Operations & Analytics


Minimum Requirements

  • Education required: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or other related field or equivalent experience 
  • 10-15 years’ work experience, 7 years’ experience in analytics, with at least 5 years of supervisory/manager experience with one or more reports 
  • 3-5 years’ experience in an energy market 
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude with a high degree of accuracy 
  • Advanced and highly skilled in Excel and Tableau 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree 
  • Lean, Six Sigma, Lean Sigma training or certification
