Description

Position Purpose:

  • Responsibilities of the Senior Engineer include developing, initiating, and executing projects on fitness-for-service, regulatory compliance, and fundamental engineering research in oil & gas industry. The Senior Engineer will be expected to be an expert practitioner in fitness for service and engineering critically analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to business development efforts
  • Initiate, execute, and close out projects within time and budget
  • Work independently or lead project teams
  • Prepare proposals and research ideas
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations
  • Implement Kiefner guidelines for initiating projects and monitoring progress
  • Represent Kiefner at industry conferences, trade shows, and committees
  • Follow Kiefner QHSE standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Champion company QHSE standards
  • Implement company guidelines in maintaining a safe, healthy, and professional environment

Knowledge and Skills:

  • 49 CFR parts 192 & 195
  • Engineering codes and standards (incl. ASME, API, BSi)
  • Fitness for Service
  • Engineering software packages (MathCad, Matlab)
  • Fracture mechanics
  • Root cause and failure analysis
  • Ability to work on several assignments
  • Ability to communicate effectively; both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • MS Office Suite of products
  • Firmly adheres to the values and ethics of Applus+ and Kiefner. Exhibits honesty, discretion, and sound judgment

Education and Work Experience:

  • Masters of Science or PhD in an engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in midstream design, engineering, operation
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License is preferred
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Certificates and Licenses Required:

  • Professional Engineering (PE) License is preferred
