This role requires the right mix of leadership skills, flexibility, and the ability to self-direct one’s own work, combined with the knowledge and experience to work on multiple aspects of a global ERP implementation. You will be responsible for both addressing questions and finding solutions with the existing implementation as well as leading new and on-going enhancement projects. You will bring expertise of cross-functional processes within Materials Management, Production Planning, Quality Management, and Plant Maintenance. You are willing to stretch yourself and are curious to learn different process areas outside of your area of expertise. You will partner with your counterparts in Houston, in Germany, and with the IT team in Colorado to manage priorities.
This role will work closely with the external managed services resources, acting as a “Player-Coach”, able to lead and inspire others, but also able to roll-up one’s sleeves to get the job done when required.
ERP Lifecycle Management: Responsible as the key interface between the business team and the out-sourced Application Managed Service teams and contractors to communicate requirements for enhancements and new projects for our Supply Chain functional areas. Prioritize business requests and gain consensus among key stakeholders.
ERP Business Process Improvement: Work closely with the business to understand and document current business processes, identify options for new business processes, and facilitate discussions on how best to use the SAP S4HANA Cloud system. Based on your expertise, knowledge of best practices, and experience with actual implementations, identify the best ERP business processes to address business requirements. For those areas outside of your area of expertise, work closely with external consultants, document business requirements, evaluate proposed solutions, test changes, document business process changes and train end-users. As needed, communicate status, progress, and issues on a regular basis to Management and other stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Leadership and Coordination: Be able to pull in required resources from within and outside of IT to drive projects and activities to completion. Influence key decision makers within the organization to gather support and remove project roadblocks.
Minimum 8 years hands-on Supply Chain implementation experience with hands-on configuration and support expertise, including support in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with at least one full life-cycle SAP implementation; with strong business process acumen and knowledge of ERP business processes.
Experience with S4HANA or S4HANA Cloud a plus.
Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Experience in international business and cross-cultural issues.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills, including the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
Ability to combine technical competence with business and commercial awareness and have a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving.
Recognizes impacts of changes and ensures appropriate due diligence is performed before making changes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills – must be able to present project status and plans to all stakeholders – from executives to project core team members. Strong attention to detail and ability to create and deliver professional looking, high-quality, executive-level presentations.
Ability to learn and assimilate knowledge of our business, including technology, global business operations and processes, business risks, and technology needs and constraints.
Travel: Anticipate some travel to other company locations and to Colorado to interact with Corporate IT team; Ability to travel to other locations in the US, Canada, and Germany.
