The Regional Marketing Manager-Industrial Specialties will develop and execute regional market plans for key segments.

  •  Lead marketing initiatives in the region, including:
    • Price and margin management
    • Growth initiatives
    • New product introductions
  • Contribute to realization of global business strategy

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Lead creation and execution of regional market plans (1 to 2 yr. horizon)
  • Active member of select Market Management Teams (MMTs)
  • Build, maintain and leverage key external relationships across the region
  • Identify and capture growth opportunities in close partnership with sales and product management
  • Establish target pricing and manage exceptions with sales
  • Capture, monitor and utilize business intelligence with the region (trends, customers, competitors, products, technologies)
  • Create and execute regional market engagement and communication plans

Key Activities

  • Translate global marketing strategies to regional plans and execute
  • Deliver on customer/market segmentation strategy, value proposition and go-to-market channel management for the region
  • Maintain close contact with the sales organization to ensure market input is gathered and translates into winning value propositions
  • Manage regional regulatory strategy and identify growth opportunities related to regulatory changes
  • Develop value propositions, business case and positioning for regional innovation projects
  • Execute regional pricing strategies, including monitoring of overall pricing activities in the market
  • Plan and execute regional customer and market communication materials
  • Coordinate and participate in trade shows, exhibitions and industry groups
  • Monitor customer segmentation and service standards
  • Model corporate values, principles and standards internally & externally

Results to be Achieved

  • Delivery of annual financial plan with the region (Revenue, Contribution Margin, Volume)
  • Delivery of targeted growth and improvement initiatives across assigned region

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Engineering-related discipline
  • Candidates with an MBA are desirable

Relevant Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of prior experience in combination of sales, marketing or product management roles
  • Experience in the Specialty Chemicals industry
  • Experience in Sales
  • Understanding of one or more key Industrial end markets (Oil &Gas, Lubricants & Fuels, Mining, Pulp & Paper, Water Treatment, Mining)
