Type: Long Term position

Schedule: Mon – Fri (8am-5pm)

Purpose:

  • POS Specialist Procurement transactional management: expedite purchase requisitions to purchase order, with the focus on contract and process compliance

Contract Management:

  • Track and manage contract compliance price and volume applied against contractual obligation.

Control checks:

  • Resolution of non-compliance issues, data maintenance, deviation handling, SAP contract/PO administration and reporting.

Scope:

  • The POS Specialist will follow established schedules and procedures put together by Olin in order to meet client specification.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Procurement Team in the set-up of Maintenance Service Contracts including Rental Equipment and Materials for the Blue Cube Manufacturing Plants in NA.
  • Interface with internal and external clients/ suppliers/ contractors.
  • Assist in Corporate Services sourcing and participate in Procure to Pay transactional activities.
  • Responsible to submit the request for all new Service Master Codes to support the Maintenance Service Contracts.
  • Update and change Purchase Order details when requested.
  • Work closely with the Dow Procure to Pay Purchasing Team to resolve any issues in the timely set up of new Service Master Codes and the creation of new MRO/Labor SPA s and/or changes to existing SPA s.
  • Provide support to Maine Pointe to assist in accessing information in PRM 654 for Genesis 2 Projects.
  • Tracking and monitoring Contract leakage and compliance with preferred approved suppliers, procurement policies and procedures.
  • Provide Training support to the Sourcing Team to help them fill out the new MRO/Labor SPA Templates to create new SPA s and make changes to existing SPA s.
  • Investigate and resolve any escalated cases, such as inconsistencies in the purchase order against good receipt quantity, unit price discrepancy on invoice or order confirmation.
  • Creation/Updating Purchasing Info Records.
  • Vendor Invoice Management.
  • AES32 Catalog Creation/Troubleshooting.
  • Additional support related activities may be added as deemed necessary by management.  

Qualifications:

  • Middle-level applied education or equivalent
  • Business or related discipline strongly preferred
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong SAP and Sourcing Process knowledge
  • Team work and service mindset
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Business or related discipline strongly preferred
  • Procurement operations experience
  • Negotiation skills is an advantage

  • Expert in Microsoft excel and macros
  • Strong analytical skills and solution focused
  • Issue management and Contract management
  • Works independently, is self-motivated and accountable

System/Technology:

  • SAP business warehouse reporting
  • Ariba spend analytics reporting
  • Awareness to detail, strong decision-making ability and creative problem-solving skills

Computer Programs:

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
  • E-sourcing, Procure to Pay work process knowledge, logical thinker with solid analytical skills
