Description
Basic Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Willing and able (with or without supervision) to provide day to day support of IoT systems managed by the team.
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate timezone differences for business units globally.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
- Ability to work in a small team and recognizing the need to upskill and provide support coverage for other team members.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or other relational database management systems
- Experience with object-orientated development in C#, .Net, Python or similar languages.
- 2+ years experience with AWS, Azure or other cloud platform providers
- Knowledge of Azure or AWS IoT services.
- Experience with system testing and validation
- Experience with system troubleshooting and issues tracking and logging.
- Basic knowledge of networking
- 2+ Years experience with supporting/implementing Wintel and Unix based environments.
- 2+ years experience working with vendors and suppliers to log, track and close out product defects and issues.
- 2+ years experience and knowledge of smart sensors, devices and gateways.
- Knowledge and/or experience with working with industrial control networks and the Purdue Model.
- Knowledge of radio frequency devices or wireless sensors with protocols such as such as Bluetooth, BLE, Wi-Fi, DHCP Client/Server, TCP/IP, wirelessHART, LoRa, WiFi, HTTPS, REST etc.
- Knowledge of industrial field devices (eg PLCs and other control-based devices) and communications protocols (e. g. ProfiBus, ModBus, HART etc)
- Knowledge and understanding of field devices such as PLCs and other control-based devices.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Experience can be substituted for level of education.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a systems, firmware or hardware engineer with emphasis on smart connected devices.
- 2+ years experience working with radio frequency devices or wireless sensors with protocols such as such as Bluetooth, BLE, Wi-Fi, DHCP Client/Server, TCP/IP, wirelessHART, LoRa, WiFi, HTTPS, REST etc.
- Knowledge of industrial focused communications protocols (e. g. ProfiBus, ModBus, HART etc)
- Knowledge and understanding of field devices such as PLCs and other control-based devices.
- Experience and knowledge of low power applications for battery powered deployment of beacons and standalone sensors.
- Experience in object orientated programming language such as C/C++, Java and/or python.
- Experience and knowledge of network security requirements in relation to IoT.
- Basic knowledge of edge computing in industrial applications.
- Experience with Azure IoT Services.
- Experience with Kubernetes and/or docker container orchestration.
- Experience working in a collaborative Agile development environment
- Hands-on experience with IoT cloud or on-premises platforms
- Experience with developing processes and standards.
- Ability to identify and share best practices within the team and organization.
- Assesses industry trends that impact IoT and translates these to drive direction.
- Ability to quickly learn and analyze business processes, working closely with users, business
- analysts and project managers
- Ability to plan and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction
- Ability to handle various tasks and prioritize effectively in fast-paced environment supporting internal and external customers
