One of our clients located in Houston, TX is looking to hire a Human Resources Generalist on a 3-4 month contract basis to cover a maternity leave.

Human Resources Generalist Role:
The Human Resources Generalist will support the operations of the HR Department by performing both complex and routine services with a focus on recruiting, on-boarding, and employee relations..
Manage and supporting the HR Orientation and Onboarding processes for all new hires.
Assist with the explanation of benefits and company polices
Verify I-9s and all other pre-employment documents
Responsible for the recruitment activities; coordinating candidate interviews, drug, and background screen
Manages routine employee disciplinary issues, through policy interpretation, and makes recommendations for resolution.
Escalates and partners with HR leadership to resolve complex issues.
Provides recommendations on internal best practices, mitigating risks, policy and compliance related topics.
Maintains compliance with Federal and State regulations and ensures compliance with established policies, procedures and contractual commitments
Processes new hire transactions, salary adjustments, and evaluates Personnel Action Forms (PAF) and approve/return as appropriate.
Prepares ad hoc reports as requested (licensure expiration, new hire report, etc.)
Provide support and completes special HR projects, as assigned
Human Resources Generalist Background Profile:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
3-5 years of Human Resources experience
Extensive experience with all onboarding procedures
Previous experience recruiting field employees - preferred
3 years of Employee Relations, onboarding and full-cycle recruiting
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
