Job Skills / Requirements


The Finance Manager will provide analysis; implement processes and tools to drive operational and financial excellence across Marsden South. Focus areas include, but are not limited to, management level financial & operational reporting and analysis, forecasting and budgeting, compliance, and evolving into a subject matter expert who can easily liaise between Finance and Operations. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, with strong trouble shooting and analytical skills. This role will report to the Sr VP of Finance & Administration with dotted line to the VP of Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review monthly financial reports and provide analysis to the business to assist in achieving financial targets
  • Work on a wide degree of project initiatives both financial & operationally focused, performing in-depth root cause analysis, and identifying & implementing solutions to improve processes
  • Work with operations and sales to develop forecasts
  • Working with operations management team to ensure timely and accurate billing to customers, resolving requests for credits & creating cost increase proposals, identifying and proposing opportunities for improving profitability of the overall business as well as for specific accounts
  • Working with Sales & Operations to review customer proposals, ensuring compliance with company guidelines, overall profitability, and follow-through to ensure proper setup set-up within the systems
  • Developing & executing processes to ensure timely closeout and billing of work tickets and payment of vendor invoices
  • Assisting operations in reviewing job cost reports and providing recommendations to improve profitability
  • Reviewing preliminary financial reports and working with operations, accounting and finance to execute accruals & corrections to resolve issues and putting processes in place to prevent issues going forward
  • Managing internal collections processes to ensure the company meets its DSO goals
  • Manage the operational administrative support team in effectively completing responsibilities and creating opportunities for growth


  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Strong ability to work with business leaders to deliver results, including the ability to persuade with data
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; An eye towards continuous process improvement, including the ability to innovate and simplify both finance and operational processes
  • Experience in a business partnering role
  • Commitment to self-accountability, collaboration, teamwork and service excellence.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, documentation, research and resolution and data analysis.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools required.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business-related required
  • 5+ years of experience required

Supervisory Responsibility

  • Supervising 2-3 office administration personnel.


This role requires little to no travel.
