The Director of IT manages the IT infrastructure and helpdesk teams. This role is responsible for hardware, software, security, infrastructure, and creates IT policies to support the mission of NorthStar Memorial Group. The director is responsible for ensuring that the IT department's goals are in alignment with the whole group and Company. The director helps in the selection and implementation of new technologies.


  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
  • Develop or update project plans for information technology projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing.
  • Manage all phases of project and systems lifecycle - research, justification, planning, implementation, support, maintenance, and retirement.
  • Make recommendations and ensure conformance with all security and compliance initiatives - audits, gap analysis, pen testing, controls, PCI, CCPA, Third Party Risk Management, incident response.
  • Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and development of the IT related initiatives.
  • Oversee all technology operations (Network Security, Helpdesk, Systems, Networking) and evaluate them according to established goals.
  • Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management.
  • Consult senior-level stakeholders across the entire organization to identify business and technology needs and to optimize the use of information technology.
  • Manage vendors (MSP, Microsoft, Security, etc.)
  • Partner with the development team to develop their DevSecOps processes.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert on cybersecurity and compliance.
  • Formulate and implement business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Manage Microsoft agreement and renewal process
  • Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring systems performance
  • Create processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of systems
  • Lead and manage all IT systems and staff.
  • Hire, train and mentor all IT Staff.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager
