Position: Business Development Manager – Reporting to the Sales Manager of the oldest and largest, family-owned petroleum distributors in the United States. They serve more than 11,000 customers annually, ranging from small family-owned businesses to Fortune 500 companies. They deliver gasoline, diesel fuel, alternative fuels, and other petroleum products and related services at the most competitive prices
The Business Development Manager will build and grow a regional base of unbranded gasoline and diesel customers. This person will perform aggressive marketing, cold calling and conduct face to face meetings with customer contacts to solicit business while servicing current accounts within a particular sales region. The BDM will have Profit & Loss accountability for the sales of unbranded gasoline diesel, and biofuels across multiple customer channels. Market segments include trucking and automotive fleets, construction, manufacturing, mining, agriculture, marine resellers, and various other end users. You must ethically and professionally represent products and programs to customers and prospects and regular travel is required throughout the sales region.
