Job Overview:

Responsible for serving beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely and manner, resulting in guest satisfaction. Also, to prepare beverages for other servers to supply to guests, and act as cashier for the bar. Verify the identification and age of customers, prepare and serve alcoholic beverages, accept payment from customers, clean glasses and bar utensils and balance cash receipts to record sales. Increase customer retention and loyalty by mixing and serving quality cocktails with impeccable customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet

Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to insure product quality

Clean glasses and bar utensils.

Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks. Create a positive atmosphere.

Mixes traditional and creative cocktails, garnishes and presents drinks suing standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.

Verify identification and age requirements of all customers. Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained. Demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.

Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each customer , including those served by other beverage servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served.

Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all moneys.

Locks up and stores all beverage, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent walking

Prolong standing.

Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, transport up to 50 lbs.

Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart weighing a maximum of 200 lbs.

Occasional Pulling up to 25 lbs. at times.

Qualifications:

High School graduate or equivalent preferred

Bartending work experience required

Must be TABC or TIPS certified

Must speak fluent English

Other languages preferred
