Responsibilities

Develops, Leads, and Maintains the quality of care continuum and outcomes for bariatric surgery patients.
Works to facilitate overall Bariatric Surgery programmatic growth.

1. Develop, evaluate and maintain a bariatric surgery program that meets and exceeds the recommendaons
of the regulatory standards.
2. Assume responsibility for the ongoing program management, across the connuum from the EMS and
hospital entry through discharge.
3. Serve as a clinical expert and resource assisng with care for the complex and/or highly specialized paent
care situaons, to paent care services personnel and other health care professionals within the hospital,
throughout the connuum and in the community.
4. Parcipate in idenfying needs, planning and implemenng educaonal programs within specialty areas
for paents, families and/or community groups. Provide communicaon and resources to paent, family, staff,
community and physicians. Contribute to newsleer, monitor web forum, post announcements, reply to
quesons and comments.
5. Facilitate and monitor quality data from the bariatric surgery registry and other databases ensuring
compliance with requirements to include database entry and data submission.
6.Collect, compile and maintain database for follow-up and research purposes. Idenfy and streamline
process improvement opportunies for data collecon
7.Idenfy opportunies for clinical quality improvement
8.Facilitate and lead the center meengs
9.Parcipate in ACS audits and re-accreditaon site visits.
10. Collaborate with markeng on all bariatric program market iniaves, seminar development and
develop/manage bariatric website

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelors Degree

Registered Nurse

Minimum 3 years of nursing expereince in a surgical patient care setting.
