DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs professional administrative functions in the research, review, interpretation and implementation of grant closings, trainings and provide technical support for various departments, grant related tasks, including grant award set up, budget set up and modifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interpret, drafts and disseminates administrative policies and procedural revisions for staff implementation.
- Set up grant awards, monitor grant life cycle, set up grant budgets, modifications and transfers.
- Compose correspondence, prepares drafts on various division matters and edits material as required.
- Prepares and query SAP reports including interfacing with other City departments to successfully
- Complete various analyses with quality results.
- Act as liaison to assigned City departments to assist in handling inquiries and problems.
- Responds to written and telephone inquiries, and requests from the various departments.
- Assist with the development of grant closings for departments using reconciliations and SAP data.
- Perform grant training using prescribed modules.
- Prepares periodic reports and assist with payroll simulation tasks.
- Review Council Coversheets verify funding availability and track coversheet reports.
- Participates in special projects as assigned.
- Assists in preparing training materials, manuals and PowerPoint presentations.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc. There are no major sources of discomfort, i.e., essentially normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature and air conditions.
